Isn't it a chore trying to swallow that whopper about her suicide? She had accomplished the most spectacular interviews in tv history.

Now what did she have to regret about that? That "official" speculation for her suicide just doesn't quite get it, does it?

You're right. It would make one spellbinding movie. Someone needs to do a lot of investigation on this story. It looks as if it has been completely distorted and buried in an inplausible cover story.

Lisa Howard had a very short career. What a pity.

Adding the account of a meeting between Kennedy aide Richard Goodwin on August 22, 1961, with Che Guevara. This indicates Kennedy was surely trying to figure out a way to make the right connection, and working on it for a couple of years or more, in secret. Who benefited from his disappearance, in the U.S. vs. Cuba conflict? The Cuban right-wing exiles who were staying in Miami, expecting to return to Cuba as the large land and business owners they had been before the revolution.

If the U.S. recognized Cuba, it would have meant they would not be reinstalled as the big fish in the tiny bowl all over again. The Cuban government wanted to work things out. They were serious. When Kennedy was murdered, they were screwed: especially since Johnson turned his back on them.
