33. Actually, he won't be tried for anything.
First of all, he didn't lie on purpose-he made a mistake, to which he admitted before the trial was over.
And second of all, he used a very simple logic to determine who is insane and who is not. Since it was the Devil who told Andrea to kill the kids, she wasn't insane because she knew it was wrong. On the other hand, Mrs. Laney was insane because she was told to murder her kids by God. One can't argue with God, can one?
