He is going to be CRUCIFIED on Fox and smeared in every way possible. But he is right and Democrats have to bet their load on this one or pack up their party and go home.
Bush has committed a clear violation of law in a VERY SCARY way. He has started the beginnings of a secret police. And I don't believe for a second that Bush constrained the targets of his illegal wiretaps to either terrorists OR international calls. There was NO reason to avoid the FISA court unless they thought the FISA court would say no.
My bet is that "terrorists" are actually peace activists, unions and Democratic party offices. I would also bet that any phone call going over a wireless link (satellite or cell) is considered "international" since the radio waves reach orbit and that is "international territory".
