I think that all Christians, Muslims, and Jews should reflect on those aspects of our religions that have elements at odds with reason and science, not to mention human rights. I say this with a heavy heart, for while my own branch of Judaism has rejected ancient sexual taboos, many of my own refuse to shake a woman's hand, or to accept the GLBTs among them.

It is no accident that the most radical elements in Christianity and Judaism are allies in a crusade to rebuilt the ancient temple in Jerusalem, and I suppose re-establish the corrupt priesthood that was rejected by the Zealots in the First Century CE.
