A gunman opened fire at the Sheraton Hotel on Moorland Road in Brookfield this afternoon, killing four people and seriously wounding up to eight others before killing himself, according to police.

The shootings apparently occurred at a church gathering in a meeting room at the hotel, Brookfield police said. The victims ranged in age from early teens to 60s.

No other suspects are being sought in the incident.

The hotel is just off of Interstate 94 near the Brookfield Square Ma
