11. Bremer was in front of Senate committees today
Edited on Mon Sep-22-03 06:26 PM by realFedUp
Sat in front of Senator Byrd and Dominici (I think) asking
for $20 billion "supplemental" money. No other Senators were in
the room at the end and the Byrdman pleaded for another
hearing with Bremer with a full panel of Senators. Dominici
said there rarely was a hearing for "emergency" supplemental
money.
The Byrdman gave a short but impassioned speech about not
wanting to invade Iraq originally...that the costs of this
invasion and rebuild is more than the American people were
ever told about etc.
He was good and made his point in the record.

I think granting $20 billion is a big deal.
Let's all see an itemized list of where the money's going.
