34. This isn't fair
It is one thing to volunteer for the army. It is another thing to join the guard to get money for college.

What kind of a country calls up mothers, who happen to be in the reserve, instead of just putting in a draft. They are also calling up people past 50 and pregnant women.

During Viet Nam we had a draft that had plenty of loop holes for the rich. The rich didn't serve. The rich aren't being called up today because they had other means for going to college. If you will notice, no one in the Bush administration was in Viet Nam.

During World War II they drafted the single guys first, the married ones second and only then, called up fathers.

Now we call up mothers! Give me a break. You can't believe this is OK.
