Commercial flights are flown by 2 pilots, to try to blind both of them at once seems a little far-fetched, and last time I checked, pilots can turn their heads left and right.
This is not a laser-based thing... it has to be some kind of targeting device they are worried about. It would have to have some kind of tracking component because flights at angels8 move pretty fast.
And a window at that speed and distance is pretty small.
Eyeballs even smaller.

I don't know what, but there is some kind of bullshit coming down the pike on this one.
