48. Every child in the US deserves a quality education! YES!
I am with you RT and you have my respect for the job you do.

Its a hard job with little reward, but education is the only way to build a strong nation. Many children would never have any self esteem if it were not for caring teachers! I was fortunate to have several teachers who taught me to really question, analyze and think for myself.

GOD Bless Ms Kennedy 7th grade civics, it took me years to understand how radical she was! I love this woman for what she gave me. (no off color remarks please)

Mr. Stivers 8th grade civics, he made me understand that I was an equal member of the class and that my voice counted!

Ms Hensley 9th grade science, sternly tolerated my antics and took time with me.

These people opened my mind, I wish I could find them and let them know what kind of impact they had on my life. Of course I learned from other teachers, but these 3 are the light turn-ner on-ners! All were teaching in public schools.

I cant see a Bush family member having the kind of intelligence, patience and/or compassion teaching requires. That's just my opinion!

Carry on your good work RipTide :hi:
