They had them rushing the Germans with NO WEAPON WHATSOEVER

Needless to say, if a soldier had a rifle and was shot (not e ven killed but just incapacitated for a bit) there was a huge rush and fight for his weapon.

They didn't have much ammo either -- but since you needed a GUN to use said ammo... well point was moot :D

At least ONE MILLION were sent in as cannon fodder without even warm winter clothes, but it was the lack of firearms that was the proverbial straw.

The Germans say they actually had to go out and move the high mounds of bodies so they could continue getting a bead on the soldiers Russe.

Maybe the Tsarina/Rasputin (who were the one's that called the shots in 1917) was hoping that, after shooting a million or two russians, that THE GERMANS would be the one's to run out of ammo! LOL
