Ian's Pizza

http://www.google.com/#sclient=psy&num=10&hl=en&site=&source=hp&q=ian%27s+piza%2C+madison&aq=0l&aqi=&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&psj=1&bav=on.1,or.&fp=b5fc6a07c812d0bf

is offering their most popular pizza - a 20" Mac'n'Cheese (how telling is that?) for $22, for delivery to the folks on site. The temp is twenty effing degrees.

They have canceled all of their regular business in order to serve Our People. They are handing out free slices to Our People, with a "line out to the sidewalk".

Be a part of this, no matter where you are.

My phone conversation with the front guy was priceless.

Be sure and tip. "Twenty dollars? Are you sure? Oh, man, thank you!"

Here I am, in Sonoma, doing what I can do.

The Revolution will be televised.

Sonoman

My PM to Hissyspit:

Let's keep it going.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=460129&mesg_id=460129

You have much more voice on DU than I could ever have.

This is beautiful, just call the number and listen to the message.

Let's keep it going.

I only ordered three, as Our People are beginning to disperse and the temp is in the 20's.

If this is still going tomorrow, I will buy forty pizzas for Our People.

Let's keep it going.

Now is the time and the time is ours.

Thank you, thank you...

Sonoman

17. Good on you and others from neighboring states...
for going to support... Colorado is a bit too far, but like Sonoman, maybe I can help feed them.

Gawd, I hope they can hold out and win this struggle. Against the odds.... Maybe they don't have a tyrannical national government, like our Egyptian friends, but they certainly are dealing with an autocrat in the Governor's seat, a media that is in the pocket of the corporatocracy or simply too lazy/biased to figure out the story. Stay Strong, Wisconsonites.

9. The Capitol Rotunda has been home to many at night all week
Edited on Sat Feb-19-11 10:38 PM by htuttle
There is a protester housing coordination plan of sorts going on at the information station in the Rotunda, and there are many others staying with friends in town. I wouldn't doubt that the hotels are getting full as well. Even Badger games aren't this big.

on edit: Of course, those who live here or nearby, which is a lot of the people, do just go home at night. Except for those who are staying at the Capitol.

They were great to talk to! The guy really wanted to know where I was calling from. I didn't tell him we had connections in WI. I just said we'd read about what they were doing on a website.

I can't wait to tell my repub. brother in law who lives in Madison that I did this!

And, his step son-in-law is a union firefighter there! I can only imagine what they're telling him...

I also just did the Cornish pasties order from Myles Teddywedgers. The lady there was just delighted that I was calling all the way from New Haven, CT! I think they are genuinely thrilled that folks from all over are trying to help in this fashion...

Great idea.

When I was at Camp Casey, trucks pulled up nearly every day delivering things people were sending to Cindy. Bottled water, camping supplies, food, flowers, . . It was inspiring. I'll never forget it.

Actually, I thought of you when I was placing my order last night. We even broke into a spontaneous "Look for the Union Label". My GF is from Milwaukee and they used to sing the song at half-time at HS football games.

Keep up the good work.

To those of you that are non union that have stood in solidarity :toast:

To Those that have traveled long or short distances :toast:

To those that have found creative ways to show support in absentia :toast:

The importance of this movement can not be understated. This is the front line in the battle of the classes. I hate to use that term, but that's what it is, and we didn't start it. Will will finish it though and we will be victorious IF, we all stick together and take nothing for granted.

Remember people, we are up against a small group of tyrants that would not shed a tear if all of us dropped dead tomorrow. Well, not all, they would have to have a few left to "Serve" them but that's it.

The lines have been drawn~

"For the out-of-state orders, which began Tuesday, Stratman said the restaurant takes the first name and location of the person placing the order so employees delivering the pizzas can announce to hungry protesters who and where they’re from. They’ve been received “very well,” Stratman said."
