Has the funding source behind DU3 been discussed?
Haven't been around much due to work and family demands, so I apologize if I missed this.

I did see that the last fundraiser was supposed to be the last and was curious if ad revenue was truly enough to support the new site. Would like to know before I hop over then, if and when I have time to do so.

Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks.

1. I haven't read anything about ads, funding, donations. I do know,
donations are not being accepted right now, but you can still go to the DU3 and play around.

2. Would knowing if the site
Was funded by ads or donations affect your decision to try it out?

4. Ads vs. donations I don't care about.
I'm wondering what has taken the place of the donations.

I don't understand how the site went from quarterly begging for money to suddenly "no thanks, we're good" in the midst of a big upgrade.

I'll be blunt and say it, if the site is getting money from any political entities, I'd like to know about it. I think it's important to be upfront about funding when it comes to politics.

6. Fair enough
But I don't think anyone except the admins are ever going to know that. The way I read Skinner's 'No More Fund Drive' post was that ad revenue then paid subscriptions were sufficient.

7. obviously because of Soros' support for their enemies in the left
and since he's Jewish and a Holocaust survivor who sought the protection of a Hungarian government official to escape the Nazis there may be either accusations that he betrayed Jews or general anti-Semitic sneering.
