I thought that they would be ridiculed. They were. It strengthened them. I thought that they NYPD police abuse was the end of their movement. It only gained them strength and support.

The media first ignored them. Now they are at the frontline.

That's just an artful way to criticize them (ANYthing to criticize those who would damage the status quo) -- and probably of rightwing origin. They're doing just fine. It's far too early to come up with specific demands and THAT would stand a greater chance to lose public support than not having specific demands at this point. The public knows very well that they're protesting a whole bunch of WRONGS and that clearly means that the opposite of those WRONGS would be very welcome.
