Do you prefer big federal government or big state government?
Democrats usually want a balanced government with the Federal Government taking action if the States refuse or are unable to for any reason. Republicans want a limited Federal Government, with State Governments doing most of the governance.

Discuss.

4. Well given that my state is ran by imbeciles who executed an innocent man last week...

state programs are fine they just need lots of federal oversight/guidelines to protect people from getting screwed.

8. If the States had their way...
especially southern States they would turn back the clock to 1865 and it would take the Federal Gov. to stop the hangings again. You don't go back you must go forward..."REMEMBER HISTORY DON'T REPEAT IT"!!!!
