By voting it down, he can call it back later. This is a "sham" vote as all they're doing is bringing up a bill to strip it down and rewrite it with the new bill language. The real vote will be later today.

2. Yeah, that's his FIRST bill, and they want it to fail so they can vote |
|
on the new one they just came up with.
Like the regular process isn't confusing enough! :eyes:

9. True, they've all pretty much sucked. But I favored this because of |
|
the "hands off" Med/SS/Med, and let them duke it out over the rest later, when we don't have a default breathing down our necks.
I'm hoping we'll have learned how to message better so the masses don't believe all the Republican talking points to the exclusion of the facts. :eyes:
This may have scared them enough to shape up. I hope.

6. This overall 'joke' vote was 50/49, nowhere near 60. |

I believe that they'll do this again at 4 pm, while negotiations proceed. This is the Senate's ridiculous way of 'functioning'.
