17 Dead in Vietnam Shoe Factory Fire
Vietnamese authorities said Saturday that a fire at a shoe factory in the northern port city of Haiphong killed 17 people and seriously injured another 21.

Police said the fire is believed to have been started Friday afternoon by welding equipment. The building had only one exit and the fire spread so fast that many workers were not able to escape.

Officials said 13 people died of burns and smoke inhalation at the scene and four other badly-burned victims died at a hospital Saturday morning.

9. I would bet it's not "horse"
It's probably a contract manufacturer for a number of athletic shoe companies.

Vietnam `s working conditions border on slavery. they out bid china and other asian countries on cotton goods and no doubt shoes.

so the next time you are looking at cotton goods you`ll the cheapest will be made in Vietnam. where else would walmarts hana montana clothing line be made...everyone from miley to disney has to have their cut from that 11 dollar piece of cotton gauze.
