Obama's next move should be... |
|
... He needs to say: "OK, screw calling your representatives. Get out on the street. Be peaceful, but LOUD. Do it today."

2. I'd be inclined to do that for a clean, straight up debt cap vote. |

But not for one coupled to spending cuts. Obama won't get me or anyone else out into the streets for the proposals he's been pushing.

what would happen if he were to announce that he was not seeking re-election.
I figure that would open up a whole new world - in both political parties.

My response to this OP would have been: "I'm not running in 2012"
Really, I have to think this is a very realistic possibility at this point.

6. He asked us to make him do it. FDR did not ask people to go into |
|
the streets either - he just asked them to make him do it.

7. You know, when someone says, "Make me," they don't really want you to make them |

8. Maybe today but FDR meant it - he knew he could not get congress |
|
to pass what he wanted so he asked for the peoples help in pressuring them. They did and we are in the process of destroying the programs that he created and that have kept us safe for all those years. Obama is smart enough to understand what FDR was saying and he thinks we are to.

9. Did FDR say to make HIM do it or to make CONGRESS do it? |
|
Because there's quite a bit of difference between the two.

10. His next move should be to move the hell out of the way. |
|
He needs to stop holding our hands behind our back while the right punches us on the face, and we need to stop calling it friendship.

11. Yes. I'd like to see him announce |
|
that he won't seek re-election, myself. Make way for a better Democrat.
