IMAGE(originally from SP's Facebk pg): Where would an armed schizo get the idea of SHOOTING Gabby Giffords (D-AZ)?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:SARAH-PALIN-TARGET-MAP.jpg

Does anyone know which of the 111th Congress members listed in the image, all targeted with Sarah Palin's crosshairs, nonetheless won re-election?

I believe the three crosshairs in red are not DEAD but rather had announced retirement from Congress. But still maybe the Tucson mass-murderer thought he was turning another of those 20 crosshairs red?

What all 20 evidently had in common was a vote for health care reform from a district McCain/Palin took in 2008 in their landslide among Caucasians over age 30.

IMO, the cleverest thing Democrats could do politically this week would be to bring all of them still in office together for a press conference ASAP. All except Gabby Giffords, of course, who's hospitalized with traumatic brain injury from a gunshot clean through her head.

WHAT'S YOUR OPINION?

1. Your image is missing...
It looks like Wikipedia "scrubbed" it.

I'm assuming this is the map you were speaking about?

5. I loadied it itnto the browser on my Android phone less than half an hour ago, and
it still looks fine.

And it doesn't have a Google cache URL, either.

Maybe my cellphone internet host caches frequently-requested pages? The jpg is VERY unlikely to have gone down the memory hole in the past half hour, if it has gone down the memory hole.

Sorry uou couldn't find it. Try your phone's browser, or the WAYBACK archive.

6. Palin's list of 17 midterm Democratic House targets, March 2010--from Politico.com
This list excludes the three retiring Democrats with red crosshairs next to their names in the 'controversial target map'.

From http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0310/34873.html:

'Palin unveils midterm target list
By ANDY BARR 3/23/10 2:05 PM EDT

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin rolled out a list of Democratic members of Congress she intends to target for defeat this year, announcing that she'll go after lawmakers who voted for health care reform and hail from districts she and Arizona Sen. John McCain won in the 2008 presidential election. Forty-eight Democrats represent districts that voted for McCain.

"With the president signing this unwanted and transformative government takeover of our health care system today with promises impossible to keep, lets not get discouraged," Palin wrote in a post on her Facebook wall, urging supporters not to "get demoralized." "Were going to hold them accountable for this disastrous Obamacare vote," she continued.

The Democratic members she listed were: (see my next post, below)

9. WHO WON? Nick Rahall (D-WV3), be VERY careful the next few weeks
Besides Gabby Giffords, Rick Rahall (D-WV3) is the only Democratic incumbent of 17 on Sarah Palin's hit-list to have survived the 2010 midterm elections.

Republicans also took all three of the open seats with red crosshairs on Palin's pre-election "target map".
