When Gingrich, Palin, Romney, Trump and even Cornel West bring Obama's race up |

The GOP wins. It doesn't matter how wrong or misguided they are, or what valid point they were trying to make (in the case of Cornel West calling Obama a black mascot and a black puppet). Once the conversation ends up on race for any reason, the GOP gets closer to the White House because Americans are still not able to have an adult conversation about race.

2. Avoiding subjects and using euphemisms are not what "adult conversation" is about. |

However, I do agree that Cornel West's line of argument was not up to his usual standard.

3. The line keeps moving when criticizing Obama. |
|
He's too black or he isn't black enough.
He's socialist or he isn't progressive enough.
He's disrespecting the sovereignty of nations or he's continuing the military policies of the prior administration.
