Someone asked the other day how they could have been so wrong in thinking that Biden would finish in the running. I think it is safe to say that all of us asked ourselves that. What happened?
How could someone with so much support not even scratch the surface of viability (according to Iowa)?
The fact is that I truly believe that there are a lot of supporters out there who are feeling just like us. They desperately wanted Biden to be President and now they are faced with a situation that they have no control over. I honestly believe that there is a large group of Biden supporters out there that we don't know about. This is why I felt that if he could get past Iowa, he would catch fire. No one could have matched him in all the areas we have spoken about.

3. This is what I think - if anyone cares - lol |
|
The media didn't talk about him. People didn't really know him other than him being that guy on the Sunday talk shows, or that guy who voted for that bill.
People in Iowa were just starting to fall in love with Joe. His crowds were standing room only. More people showing up at his events than Hillary's.
Another couple of weeks would have made all the difference for him to come in 4th, and move on to NH.

And I agree. The momentum really was there. It wasn't an illusion. That is why such a sudden withdrawal is so hard to stomach.

5. It bugs me that 12% of Iowa's eligible voters determined this outcome. |
|
12%. Its not right that a very select few hold such power in their hands.
I don't know who I will support now that Senator Biden is out of the race. There's no one that fills his shoes.

9. Thanks pirhana. Mourning is a good word. |

I've enjoyed reading your posts and corona's and the other Biden supporter's posts.
Supporting Joe Biden was a no-brainer for me. He spoke from his heart and had the experience and knowledge we needed at this critical point in our existence. Its frustrating that a small group of people are given the power to dictate the political futures of candidates and drive a good man like Biden out of the race.
The race now is like a really bad reality show engineered by the media. They have been itching for a showdown between Obama and Hillary and they are falling over themselves creating that reality. The media is such a destructive force in our politics.

10. And now we get to sit back and watch the media destroy Edwards. |
|
It is really a sad day when the media picks our President.
Did you see that piece in the LA Times where Biden lashed out at them? I love that guy!!

11. I saw that. Joe was, as usual, right on. I will really miss Biden in this campaign. |
|
I feel for Edwards. Elizabeth Edwards was on Hardball yesterday giving Chris Matthews some guff over this.

15. This confuses me as well |
|
I have shared my caucus story.. and today I was talking to my son who will be eligible to go to the next caucus.. he did go.. I just edited this because I don't want to get flamed again... so anyway..
he was telling me about the teachers who backed Biden.. and people I work with who backed Biden and my husband and best friend gave me people they work with who backed Biden...seriously what the hell happened???
just goes back to the system and why a candidate should not place everything on Iowa.. its just one state, thats it. Yes its nice to be first and get the candidates but come on.. to place the entire race in the hands of a caucus... I wish Joe would have held on until at least the end of January. I know its wishful thinking but I want Joe back. The country needs Joe and not the pack we have now. Our country is in need of serious help and we won't get it from the current "top tier"....
just so sad.
