Joe Biden's blog is closed
The entries and comments are still there, but new comments can't be added.

1. I saw that.
Man, that was fast.

I was just over there reading the comments. Everyone is really shook up.
They all want him to get back in the race.

Poor Erin. I keep thinking about her. That was her life. Did you know she was a volunteer?
She was amazing. I once got to talk to her on the phone.

*poof*

2. I wish they'd left it up for a while
so it could die down gradually. It helps if people can meet together and express their feelings. This was all so abrupt.

I didn't know Erin was a volunteer. She must be devastated.

3. At least till Monday. Give everyone a place to go and mourn for awhile.
You know - I was thinking - Biden doesn't have to be back at work until the 22nd.
What do you think the Bidens are doing right now?

I bet they are exhausted, but after a few days, then what?
I don't think this is healthy for Biden. I hope they go on a trip or something.
I know - I am such a mom. I worry about everyone I care about.

4. He certainly needs a break, but I don't expect him to be idle
for long. I'm sure there are lot of projects he's been anxious to get involved in. Somebody's got keep a close eye on the WH! Hopefully we'll get to see some of Biden's famous hearings - best TV there is.

6. And I may actually start watching them again
They've been so boring lately, I just end up deleting them.

7. this all sounds so familiar
 when Clark left the race in 2004, everyone was completely bereft. They did leave the blog up for awhile and eventually he opened WesPac (securingamerica.com) and alot of people migrated there. I made my peace with the ending and just moved on. I did not heed Clark's call to support Clinton, in fact I was quite disappointed that he came out as her surrogate. I can honestly say, I don't know if I would have supported him had he run again on his own. Great man, super smart, but a lousy politician (sorry Wes!)

Joe Biden's campaign has had a different effect on me. Biden did everything right, he was on message, eloquent, intelligent. Clark lacked that personal connection I saw in Biden.

Joe was a natural, he IS and was Presidential. The more I reflect, the more I miss the fact that he is not there anymore.

8. I still am a blogger at WesPac from time to time.
So is Elleng. There was a lot of Biden support over there. Last week a blogger by the name of Jordans11, posted the nicest endorsement of Joe. The people over there love Jordans11, who is an amazing college student who is wise beyond his years--also one of those good-looking big man on campus types without the arrogance. Anyway, many people recommended Jordans11 blog and it was pushed near the top on the front page of the WesPac site.

God bless Wes for allowing a heck of a lot of freedom of speech over there. I will have to say that several of Wes's bloggers who support Obama have taken advantage of Wes's free speech policy and come across as pretty obnoxious, regarding what they say about Hillary Clinton. The Biden people have been more respectful.
