I Don't Have A Sinking Feeling In The Pit Of My Stomach
Like I did in 2000 and 20004. Am I a cockeyed optimist or am I intuitively on to something?

16. I Think A Case Can Be Made For Hubris
They've been crowing and celebrating their great victory for months. It reminds me of the first time GWB said he had political capital and was going to use it, From that point on things kept getting worse and worse for him. In '06 Rove insisted he had THE numbers. So we'll see what we see tomorrow.

5. I don't but I think we will lose the House.
It is just that basically we are going to have elections like this for awhile. I think the American people are angry about what happened to the economy and will take it out on the people in power until the economy recovers, if it ever really does. I don't think this will be any Repub Revolution or anything like that.

6. We straight
Don't worry I don't think the repugs won't get what they want this time either. They may get a few seats but I would jump up and down if the landslide they keep predicting happens for the Democrats:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: then I will have a cognac and smile myself to sleep. I will be glad when this election cycle is over.

If there's some dumbass places they vote in the teabaggers -- they will disgrace themselves by 2012 because the real world of governing has nothing to do with teabaggery. IT'S ALL GOOD!

Not because of the election, but because of Printer Cartridges.

I had to completely dismantle my printer this morning because I am certain Al Qaeda rigged it while I was asleep. If you haven't done so yet, I would suggest you do so. To fail to act means you hate America, and you are a threat and an enemy combatant/belligerent/irritant or whatever the buzzword of the day is.

If we don't stay afraid, we'll never be safe.

I wish we didn't have any freedoms left, then the terrorists would probably just leave us alone.

I would hope that wouldn't mean we would have to give up the TSA or the rest of the Burgeoning Police State though.

having Freedom and Rights is what got us into this mess, and we certainly don't need to go back to those dark days.

Otherwise, as sure as the sun rises, those damn men in caves will be back, and this time they will finish the job, and I'll miss the rest of the season of Dancing With The Stars, and won't be able to Keep Up With The Kardashains any longer.

Such an unthinkable tragedy is not even imaginable for me, and is not an option.

How can I worry about an election when there are so many rogue printers out there?

PRIORITIZE, WINSTON!

9. There is a small group where I work that are hardcore Dems
The rest are defiant Republicans (Country Club, not Tea Party).

We were talking today that we all think Wednesday will be doom-n-gloom day in the office with everyone in a foul mood, whining about their taxes going up. We pinky swore to each other not to snicker and/or get 'caught' high fiving each other. These are our peers, but who needs the hassle, right?

Feeling good over here in the northeast! :D

I tell myself that I am prepared for everything but I am probably expecting much better than what is forecast and will still be devastated if it's as bad or worse.

13. We may suffer big losses...
or not. I just don't know, but sort of feel like I did before Y2K - I didn't feel the need to buy extra water or panic, and it turned out okay. I'm bracing myself - and may have to see Boehner's ugly, orange gloating face more often and that thought is rather horrifying, but other than that, fuck, we survived 8 years of Bush. Coming off of that and going into menopause right afterwards has made me nuts already. I just hope our kids will watch and learn and never bend over to take it up the ass time and time again like we did.

Does that help? With the kind of enthusiasm we have whipped up for the Democrats, we will either win or the election fraud will win.

24. I have a very quiet zen about this election right now. I may not tomorrow night,
I may be screaming and gnashing my teeth tomorrow night, but tonight I'm at peace. I think the media overplayed their 'republican tsunami' drumbeat that actually mobilized the DEM GOTV.

28. Me either... I think we'll hang on narrowly in the House, and
definitely hang on in the Senate.

There'll be losses... but, what we would otherwise wring our hands and pull our hair out about,
will now be considered a victory (after the HUGE wins predicted for the Repubs.)

There are lots of computerized voting and counting machines out there. Nah, they'd never cheat!

34. Because deep down you know, no matter what happens, Obama is still running the administration

In 2000 and 2004, you knew that if we lost.... Bush and Cheney and Rove would still be running things.

Gaining control of congress is not the same as gaining control of the Presidency.

36. I don't either..........
Because of two possible outcomes I see:

1) Democratic losses will not be as bad as predicted or non-existent. The Dems may lose the House (or not), but keep the Senate and are still ostensibly "in charge".

-or-

2) The Repubs gain ground, but are so hampered by internal struggles for power that their message and motivations will be diluted.
