Idiot on CNN said that CNN is pressing the military to answer to them as to why they
did not inform CNN earlier that the shooter was alive.

CNN, a hint . . . because they do not have to tell you.

1. What are they going to do when
they realize the investigation and all is under military jurisdiction?

2. I'm sure the Pentagon will remedy that right away
Can't have CNN not getting all the facts before the people who need to know have them.

3. Maybe because CNN declared terrorism on the Potomac...
Edited on Thu Nov-05-09 10:00 PM by Barack_America
...after they heard someone say "bang, bang, bang", during a Coast Guard drill?

CNN is developing quite a reputation for flying off the handle with inaccurate information.

4. RB TexLa are you okay with the military keeping secrets from the public?
This wasn't a national security incident.

12. How can you say that?
Going into the situation, the military, the FBI, etc. had no idea exactly what this was about, and who was involved. So you cannot say at the time whether there was a concern for national security.

As a citizen, I can handle waiting for truth while they secure the area, take care of the fallen, and investigate.

Perhaps they wanted possible suspects to believe the man was dead - for whatever reasons they felt necessary to get their job done.

Or perhaps, through mis-communication, the word was out he was dead, and those who knew he was still alive didn't know what was being said publicly. There are plenty of scenarios that could occur during a crisis and mass confusion.

I want the truth, but am willing to cut some slack.

CNN still feels the stinger that stung them over the Potomac incident. It's their whiny way of saying we didn't f&ck up this time.

5. It was Larry KING, with an *outraged* spiel, "CNN did NOT make a mistake. It was
reporting what the MILITARY SAID!1 CNN is pressing the military as to why it (withheld) information that they had!1 You have a right to know!1"

What narcisissitic fools!1 Tweety was just as full of himself after the President's first words, which were calm and eloquent. Tweety was fuming that "the President doesn't have more information"!1

They are SICK!1

7. I think it's a legitimate question
We want the media to give us accurate information. Ft Hood officials obviously knew that false information was being reported; they could have easily corrected that.

11. You think the Army tells everything?
A lot of the time they don't is because nobody really asks. Especially 'downrange'

10. The CG told you
They were trying to make sure there wasn't anyone else. You can bet your butt they were turning the post upside down and the MPs wouldn't want any suspects getting intel from any news broadcasts. Plus they wanted to get it right
