Joseph Isadore "Joe" Lieberman (born February 24, 1942)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joe_LiebermanJust one problem with that, the senator is ALREADY on a "government-run plan".
It's called "Medicare".
An un-rationed plan that, somehow, we manage to pay for.
And, so far, there has been no "government takeover" of America's health care.
If you are fortunate enough to be covered by Medicare you know that the government does not provide your health care. You still choose your doctors and other health care providers. The government simply keeps up with the necessary data/paperwork and administers the payments. And at a much lower overhead and cost than insurance companies do. See, the government doesn't pay CEOs millions of dollars annually, or have to pay for corporate jets and massive television commercial campaigns.
Works for me.
