Edward Kimmel of Takoma Park, Md Is THE MAN!!!!
http://videocafe.crooksandliars.com/scarce/teabaggers-decry-public-option

During the danse macabre of Saturday (otherwise known as the "Taxpayer March on D.C.") at least one voice of sanity was present, a Democrat with some very large cojones.

The villagers were not happy.

This man is my new hero! He sure enraged the hillbillies by just carrying his sign. Now that's true activism!

1. Takoma Park, MD -
I'm not surprised that our hero is from Takoma Park. It's a real bastion of leftiness in the DC area, a really wonderful place full of good, creative, peace-loving folks.

He made us all proud, didn't he?

And hooray for the cops who escorted him, and made it very, very obvious that Mr. Kimmel would have been seriously injured by those terrible people who were so outraged at the notion that someone had an opinion different from theirs.

Yep, real Americans, them.

Kudos, Edward Kimmel. You totally rock............................

5. Lots of neat places there -
interesting people. Some really good artists live there.

I did see that handshake. Someone said they weren't DC cops, but hired security guards. I admit I'm too lazy to watch the video again to check, but I thought they were DC cops - and I know some police officers were dragooned for the day from here in Virginia - so I wonder who they were.

But they did good, and what an abomination that they were needed. Those "protestors" should be ashamed of themselves, but I don't believe people like that know the first thing about shame....................................

7. That woulld be possible -
The Park Police were out in force, too. Their horses should have stampeded, but you can't have everything, I guess............

8. He sure made us proud no doubt!
I was wondering what was said between him and the cop later in the clip but they knew he was in danger and kept him safe. That's called protecting his right to free speech. I was proud to see that.

13. Isn't it horrible, though,
that he needed that protection?

Those people were scary.

I remember those people who stood and screamed as State Troopers and Justice Department officials escorted little black girls into school in the South back in the early sixties. That's what those people on the Mall reminded me of.

It wasn't pleasant to recall that.......................

15. I did look a bit like Little Rock 52 years ago...
but it's not fair to compare the two really. I have no doubt though that many in this crowd had the same violent thoughts that those in that crowd did.

11. OMG!!! He went all by himself in the middle of that mob!!! We must ask ourselves,...
,...why was he alone, basically alone at representing all of us?

I am over-JOYED that he had officers ensuring his safety.

If I was in the presence of that brave man, right now,...I'd hug him and be the last to let go!!!

Edward, you are exceptional and this "hillbilly" is of the utmost gratitude to you for what you did, on behalf of me and many MANY other Americans. Thank you. Thank you.

He did something I could never do. That's true courage there. I'm humbled.

12. I'm wondering how much effort it took on his part to not impale some of those
obnoxious assholes with that sign? How some people do it, I'll never know....
