4. What a fucktard. If he thinks Obama is not legitimate, let him file suit and
issue a subpoena for Obama's birth record, and then watch his head spin as the judge bitchslaps him out of the courtroom onto his ear for trying to dispute a CERTIFIED COPY from HI Vital Records Department.

Go ahead, Sullivan. Make. Our. Day.

6. Then I guess Sullivan has violated his oath to protect and uphold the Constitution.
Maybe he should resign?

I also question the authenticity of his BC. I hope he sends me a copy of it to examine! :P

7. A member of Congress is telling his community that they have an illegitimate president.
That is some dangerous stuff, as it often leads to inciting riots, rebellion and murder.

That is treason.

12. Yep. Democrats really need to learn how to use indigant outrage.
Remember the outrage over the Moveon.org Petraus ad from the right? How dare a private organization insult a high ranking member of the U.S. military? The Republican's offered a resolution to condemn a private organization for having such audacity as to exercise their freedom of speech? And Democrats went along with this feigned outrage?

Well this is worse. A member of Congress claiming that the President of the United States is not legitimate. Pelosi needs to wake the f*ck up! This is indeed treason.

8. Hmm...so how about a move to censure this Clown?
Now maybe Democrats should have targeted the 11 Republican congressnuts who signed on to that birther legislation and attended some of their "town hall" meetings.

11. Brilliant political move
Any Republican who doesn't vote to censure can be painted as agreeing with the nutburger.

It would take a lot of heat off the Democratic caucus, too.

9. "can't even show a long-form birth certificate. I think we all ought to be prepared to fight that."
:wow:

Sedition, anyone?

10. I believe Oklahoma has the distinction as the most racist state in the nation
Not one single county in Oklahoma went for Obama, the only state with such a distinction.

Then there is the Tulsa Race War (The Geenwood riot of 1921).

13. I just wrote a very polite email to my Republican congressman
Edited on Sat Aug-08-09 08:25 PM by Hansel
asking him to condemn this behavior. I think everyone should.

Instead of assuming that he wouldn't care I wrote it like I believe he would find this behavior inappropriate. If he and all of the other Republican congressmen received enough emails they might start to realize that this dog won't hunt and that the President of the United States deserves and should receive respect whether they disagree with his policies or not.

Here's what it said.

I am asking that you condemn Congressman John Sullivan for questioning the authenticity of the President of the United State's birth certificate at his town hall meeting this weekend. This is completely inappropriate conduct on the part of a U.S. Congressman and can only lead to inciting an already too excitable minority of the American public who are referred to as "birthers". I know you want what is best for this country. Full participatory democracy engaged in by reasonable adults is what we need. Whether we agree with one another or not. Thank you Congressman for your consideration.
