The problem with right wing homosexual acceptance
is they accept it the way the accept anything, if it's personal. They accept their sons' or daughters' homosexuality and believe they should have full rights. Empathy has only been created for them because someone they love is denied not because they accept what is right.

How it works:

GOP politician #1 on drug addiction programs "Just say no, they got themselves in to they can pull themselves up by their bootstraps"

GOP politician #2 "we have to fund drug addiction programs." Means she or he has a family member with a drug addiction.

GOP politician #3 "Marriage is one man one woman, end of debate"

GOP politician #4 "Marriage should be open to all." Means son, daughter, nephew, niece, or someone is gay.

Of course there are exceptions both ways.

1. I don't care how people get there.
I see no problem with coming to understand that gays and lesbians deserve equality through a personal experience.

2. I'm not saying to reject their votes or support, just saying it's usually only in those situations

that it comes about.

4. GOP Politician is a gun nut, until someone trying to kill Reagan shoots him.
GOP politician is shill for insurance lobby, until they refuse to rebuild his house in time for Bush to have an iced tea on his porch with him.

It goes on and on.
