should not only volunteer to go through SERE, but UNDERGO SERE, if they think it is all fun and games after THAT... the more power to them.

I am sick and tired of these chicken shit chickenhawk idiots who'd never, ever put on a uniform

Here is a hint FRANK, our troops are at a higher risk in the field... because the enemy will now fight to the death, you idiot, ignorant tool!

Oh and here is another hint you useless piece of shit, so are we...

Now watching Gafney after lunch can and is vomit inducing.

Hey frank, I even promise to have medics on stand by, you know with a tracheotomy tray, since we all know this is not torture after all... :sarcasm: Why would we need that!!!!

1. Yeah, I'm hearing the desperate RWers keep trying to say waterboarding isn't torture.
Up is down, black is white, etc. etc.

If it's not torture, why did the USA execute people for doing it?

If it's not torture, why don't police forces around the country routinely do it?

Depraved assholes.

2. Your principle is nice but meaningless - torture is illegal, that is all that matters
We should be arresting those who broke the law - and its not a matter of principle, its a matter of law and international treaty.

3. Of course, but SERE is actually legal, people volunteer for it... see for example SEALS

So since these fine gentlemen argue this is not torture, have them volunteer to go through the SERE program with US troops.

That is the point

If after they emerge from SERE they still believe it is not torture, then I will have to question their sanity... but that is another matter

See the people who are all for this have served ZERO days in uniform...nor have ever seen real victims of torture or understand HOW this has put the troops and chiefly the rest of us at increased risk.

By the way fine gentlemen is used in full sarcasm.

As to breaking Internatioal Treaties, of course it does... it also breaks US Law, 1997.

But you have to understand, to these people this is a game... purely, a game of chicken, And we will NOT prosecute any of them... this thing about the Empire.. mark my words.

5. There is a huge difference between subjecting yourself
to something when you know
1) What, exactly, will be done
2) How long it will last

and - most importantly
3) The people doing it are committed to NOT LETTING YOU DIE.

and being held by enemies who may or may not "know what they're doing" and probably don't much care if you die or not.

6. People who have gone through SERE will disagree with you
Jesse Ventura made exactly that point on the Larry King show. As a SEAL he went through it.

SERE is done the same way we do the rest of the training for the armed forces, train as you fight, fight as you train... why sick fucks like Chenney approached SERE.
