He had talked to the prez and the prez assured him retirement benefits would remain in tact.

from the company as most should be, the pensions will be fine. I am not sure about the health care though. As long as the pensions are not set as stocks in the company, they are not part of the company. I believe this is a reorganization bankruptcy anyway.
