Lieberman jumps ship on day 2 of a Dem presidency.

I'm going out on a limb here I know but I predict you can take it to the bank. :D

3. I'm not making any predictions until I see the
campaign organization the nominee has.

If it's the same dismal faces who blew the Gore and Kerry campaigns, my only prediction will be that the election will once again be close enough to steal. Whether or not the GOP wants to steal it remains the only question. My guess is that they'd rather have a Democrat to blame for four years when all their chickens come home to roost.

6. Lieberman jumps ship on day 2 of a Dem presidency.
Before then, as he changes to Republican so he can run as McCains VP this November.

7. Lieberman jumps ship no matter who is president
Of course, if McCain is the Repub candidate, Lieberman might be his running mate

8. I predict long before that... how else will he run with McCain?
You know he really wants it. He's practically slobbering all over while stumping for him.

Lieberman may jump ship sooner than that.
He's been stumping for McCain all over Michigan. If the old fart happens to get the 'Puke nomination, I'm calling Holy Joe as his running mate.

9. I'll take that bet, douche bag!
Sorry, matcom, the avatar got to me. :P

Anyway, despite my belief that we'll pick up a net total of about eight seats in the Senate, thus destroying Lieberman's power as the swing vote in the Senate, I don't think he'll hop to the GOP. He's the senator from Connecticut. Caucusing with the GOP is political suicide.

12. Lieberman jumps ship on Day 2 of a Dem Senate with more than 51 votes
that is, 1/4/09 rather than 1/21/09. All his bargaining power will be gone, and he won't be able to hold real Dems hostage anymore. One, two, three, AWWWWWWWWWW!

15. I think it depends on Senate make up
I suspect he likes sitting on that deciding vote. He jumps only if it enhances his power or if it does not make any difference anymore.

19. If, as I imagine unless Rove steals another election, the dems win
the presidency and the Congress, there is no benefit to "Lie"bermann in switching. However, after his endorsement of McCain, he will no longer have a chairmanship, so who knows what he might do...and more appropriately (if we have a solid majority), who cares?
