If McCain is nominated for the GE....
...Richardson MUST be the Dem's Veep. He speaks better on the subject of immigration than almost anyone, as the governor of a border state and a proud Latino to boot. I agree with another poster than this topic is McCain's Achilles heel.

1. Richardson is probably a reasonable VP choice for any number of reasons.
If either Edwards or Obama becomes the nominee, Richardson's resume would help his ticket considerably.

3. Richardson is hardly comparable to Lieberman.
People like him and respect him, and he's not a Washington insider--he'd balance the ticket nicely. Plus, Edwards would be humiliated by running for Veep for a second consecutive time. Not gonna happen.

that BR is no traitor like LIEberman but he IS an insider-we've seen what the status quo has been (not) doing since we took control of congress

7. If Edwards isn't President, he should be Attorney General.
As VP, he really wouldn't be in a position to go after the corporatists, but as AG, he'd be perfectly suited to do so.

9. Well, I'll just say it...
John Edwards...Supreme Court Justice. He would be awesome and I think he could get confirmed.

4. Well, if its Obama, that would mean an all-minority ticket.
So I'd say, obese opportunity.

Said by a Jordan Marsh salesman to a cheating customer many decades ago. They made him apologize for saying it, of course. But I hope to make it immortal.

8. I think Richardson has a shot at the VP slot no matter who wins
If not, then maybe Secretary of State.
