Albuquerque Examiner: Boxer curbs her enthusiasm

Boxer spokeswoman Natalie Ravitz explained that David and Boxer are longtime friends and she has always been a big fan of his, so he invited her to guest-star. The episode taped several months ago, Ravitz said.
In the episode, David and Ted Danson meet Boxer at the Los Angeles office of the Natural Resources Defense Council, to which David and Danson have donated large sums of money. David soon launches into a rant about how his dry cleaner gave away his Yankees jersey to another customer.

So what about Boxer’s relatively smooth performance in the show’s difficult, unscripted format? Ravitz said as far as she knows, the senator has no experience doing improv comedy. Despite her relative lack of experience, it’s by no means Boxer’s first turn in front of a camera. She’s appeared in “The Gilmore Girls,” “Murphy Brown” and HBO’s “K Street” on TV, and “Traffic” on the big screen, saying it helps her to support one of the largest industries in her state....
