2. Truth be told, it's the same with any Republican

They have no incentive whatsoever to actually overturn Roe v. Wade. It is far too profitable politically to continune fighting it. Without the issue of abortion to fight over, they wouldn't be able to keep such a lock on evangelicals. Think about it, the Republicans held majorities in all three branches of government from 2001-2006. (Brief Jim Jeffords caused flip in the Senate aside) The Republican majority on the Supreme Court is 7-2 currently. They learned their history well. What happened to the Federalist Party? They succeeded in doing everything they wanted. Then they died out because they had nothing left to run on. They'll never overturn Roe v. Wade for that reason. It is their only bludgeon left to get a large portion of their base out on election day.
