I feel your pain, David.

Summary:

Miss California Carrie Prejean has kept her crown after her semi-nude photo controversy. David Shuster is sick of the whole shallowness and superficial nature of the situation and the pageant itself. He says it makes him want to vomit and as the guests argue various points, he keeps pointing out how superficial pageants are.

1. did
anyone see Courtney Hazelett (MSNBC's "entertainment" reporter) talking to Norah, saying that it was "inappropriate" for Shuster to say it was the most superficial thing? She seemed to think that Ms California was rambling and incoherent too, but said that too many men were weighing in on the conversation, and that little girls who want to grow up and be in beauty pageants are no more superficial than boys who want to be baseball players (she mentioned players who take steroids), and that she would be "happy to address this to David Shuster". Uh, ok Courtney. Maybe that hit a nerve, since Courtney's employment is based on these superficial stories getting MSM coverage.

10. She was weird.
I couldn't tell which way she was going. Having Trump declare that Prejean would retain her crown is priceless. His involvement in the whole thing makes it a joke. The Donald rules this farce.

4. I knew she would keep the crown as soon as I found out that
Donald Trump was in charge. The Donald has never said "no" to a pretty woman.

I agree with Schuster that beauty pageants are superficial; I would further say that they're exploitive and degrading.

5. yep!
he must want the affection of beautiful women so much he'll let them get away with anything just so they can cry on his shoulder and so he can scold them for being a bad bad girl, like that other one a few years ago (or whatever that was)

11. 'I suggest you jump off the cliff...'
Brilliant!

Binded? Bit of a Freudian slip there? Sounds like something right out of 'S&M For Dummies.'

What a joke.

13. I'm comfortable with him staying right where he is.
His is a generally a very progressive voice, and he rarely allows people's bs to slide. No one is perfect.
