Saddam Responsible For 150 Deaths
Paper Trail Shows Many Were Children. -- headline in LA Daily News (print edition). (OK, so ten were children -- ten is many if you compare it to one!) :silly: Gee I'm glad my TAX DOLLARS HAVE BEEN WELL SPENT KILLING 100,000 PEOPLE TO CATCH THIS BEAST WHO KILLED 150!! Is the sky up? Is grass green? Sometimes it almost seems like the same world in which I grew up...

2. It's said that this was in reaction to an assasination attempt
After it failed these people were rounded up and trials were short. I didn't hear there were children involved(?) Maybe they were older teens? He still has a way to go to match the Governor of Texas during the 90s for record executions of criminals.

I'm just amazed the paper can even consider this news, in light of the idea that today along probably 150 people will die in Iraq because of our actions.

5. So only 150 people were executed by the govt.
in Iraq over the 20+ years that Hussein was in charge, and it was all related to a single assasination attempt? I thought there would have been more than that.

8. That's the tip of the iceberg
I bet Saddam has killed at least HALF of the number of people who have died/will die because of our little war. What a monster.

6. He's probably sadly munching Doritos in his underwear
thinking, "Damn, I wish I was as moral as an American!"

7. This was from the 80's, right?
Bush Sr. didn't seem too worried about it at the time when Saddam was on the payroll...

12. He killed at least 10s of thousands, probably 100s of thousands
He was a true monster. We should have taken him out long before private citizen Rumsfeld sold him that damned mustard gas.
