I was just amazed listening to NPR's coverage yesterday. I had a huge grin on my face with the thought that finally, someone had stepped up and said ENOUGH!! And the Supreme Court no less! Wow.
I think the ruling really opens the door and sheds light on the cockroaches. It completely undermines the Bush** stance that he is above the law and that he alone can make policy.
Let the rain of indictments begin to fall! :-) I know.. I know..

1. While I cheer for the SCOTUS decision, Bush/Cheney might ignore it. |
|
Congress passes laws and Bush says they don't apply to him. Given his history over the past six years, he might just ignore the court while Shotgun Dick tells them to go Cheney themselves.

2. But 4 (including Roberts vote as an Appeals Court judge) voted to |
|
ignore the Constitution and let the president hold kangaroo courts for those he declared subject to his kangaroo courts. One more judge, and the US Constitution is just a memory.

3. what we're missing is the obvious: the dissenters were all Bush loyalists |
|
so, as soon as the court becomes MORE packed, our constitution is dead. It will only take ONE MORE Alito.
