Son of GOP Billionaire busted for burglarizing a fly-fishing shop!

Poor guy must have run out of flies! He should learn to tie them himself. The image of him hiding under the table is really vivid for me, since I used to frequent that shop when I lived in CT.

"The son of billionaire oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens was charged with burglary after he was found hiding under a table in a fly fishing shop, authorities said.

Michael Pickens, 51, spent three days in jail following his arraignment Monday in Bantam Superior Court.

He was found Sunday inside the Housatonic Meadows Fly Shop after the store's owner noticed something wrong and called police, according to state police.

Investigators found a nearby stash of items taken from the shop and found Pickens groggy and hiding under a table inside, state police said."

"Pickens was indicted last year on federal securities fraud allegations in New York and had been freed on $500,000 bond under a promise to appear for future court dates and not violate the law. He faces 20 years in jail if convicted of securities fraud.

As a result of the arrest in Cornwall, Pickens was ordered to appear in U.S. District Court in New York for a bail status hearing, where a judge will decide whether to increase his bond."

Maybe the younger Pickens was planning to use the flies he'd gotten from the fly-fishing shop on his next trip using a swift boat. Daddy T. Boone Pickens was one of the major financial donors to the filthy "Swift Boat Veterans for Truth."

A fitting punishment for the younger Pickens would be to make him do hundreds of hours of volunteer work for disabled veterans.
