What is Karl Rove's Achilles Heel?
It boils down to that. Does he have one? Or is the white male power structure now complete and indestructible?

3. His Achilles Heel? It's us.
I mean ALL of us. American citizens. It's the opposition to apathy. It's casting aside the defeatist rhetoric of believing that the corporate world has overtaken us and reclaim our democratic values by actually protesting and voting. And not just partisans. ALL of us.

20. But they're in a "First chaos, then order" mode.
They create the chaos, then they set themselves up in important positions to rewrite the rules of order. We're screwed.

33. ....as long as R's control Congress, the WH, and SCOTUS, that is.
She'll enthusiastically join Dems and progressives in enforcing the laws. But this takes accountability and a Democratic administration to accomplish.

8. His personal finances ...
Someone posted a news story about this a few weeks back (sorry, I wouldn't know where to look for the link).

But apparently there has been a very quiet investigation ongoing into Rove's lavish lifestyle, his real estate holdings, etc. - that totally don't jibe with the salary he's been paid for the last five-plus years, and some shady dealings to do with his former company (which has received many gov't contracts of late) and a house he sold (at five times its market value) when he agreed to follow Bush to D.C.

So maybe the fat lady isn't quite done singing ...

Karl Rove was not. I'm getting pretty tired of people espousing his supposed genius. Karl Rove is no genius. He's no architect. Karl Rove has been successful because he cheats. He cheats with money, extortion, cronies, and slander. He panders the access/influence of the president like a two-bit pimp. He is a thug and history will judge him thus.

13. I wish that were so, but why the hell is it taking so damned long?
I know, I know, truth and karma will out. Maybe someday - while I'm still here to savor it. But why do I feel as though - if justice EVER comes - it will come at a much later date, and only in small measure, because the ones who should be held accountable will get away with it, leave office safely to segue to the "mashed potato circuit" and the board of directors of the Carlyle Group? Why do I feel as though by the time justice is served, it'll be a moot point because those to be served will actually be long gone, in safe harbors, or dead?

Sorry to sound defeatist, but this has hit me inexplicably hard.

15. He's porcine - a pigman
Haha. Seriously. His achilles heel is his hatred. He's a hater to the extreme. And it will catch up with him. Not many Americans have the stomach for that kind of hate, and he's fueling it all right now. It will burn up, leaving Americans tired and regretful, and more eager than ever for a REAL government that will fix the problems the haters caused in the first place. He thinks he can just keep fueling people's hatred. Well it's going to turn on him sooner than he might think.

25. All it will take is someone to call him on his bullshit........
Let's face it, his strategy is pretty transparent, smear people, scare people, and back it up with meaningless photo-ops. He's a bully, stand up to him and smack him down. Of course, he wouldn't have had much success without the complicity of the bullshit press corps.

30. People like him, who get away with murder seem to meet
strange ends anyway. Like he might slip on the floor and crack his head on a piece of furniture very unexpectedly. A friend of mine called it the charmed life syndrome. Everything goes right no matter what until one day surprise!
