Once again, doubters of W are instantly ridiculed as Conspiracy Theorists.
Bill Clinton told "a" lie, therefore everything Bill Clinton says is a lie.

Bush has told thousands upon thousands of lies, and thousands upon thousands of people are dead because of it.

Today's Zarqawi story may be true, but it may be just another big fat lie from our crew of congenital, perpetual big fat fucking liars in the white house.

And of course, as soon as someone suggests it's not true, or not completely true, or exaggerated, he or she is instantly sent to the nut house and declared crazy and paranoid and seeking conspiracies where there are none.

CAN YOU BLAME SOMEONE IN TODAY'S AMERICA FOR BEING A CONSPIRACY THEORIST?

Or do you believe EVERY DAMN THING YOU SEE ON T.V.?

1. Technically
The killing of Zarqawi was as a result of a conspiracy. Just sayin'.

2. I for one totally agree with you.
And another thing, what's with the picture of Zarqawi doing in a gold frame on the Tony Snow show? Can't believe they framed it, guess it will go on Bush's wall along with Saddam's gun?

3. Didnt the war keep Zarquawi alive longer then he should have been?
According to Salon it did:

http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/

Three years later, the U.S. gets Zarqawi
Iraqi and U.S. officials announced this morning that Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has been killed in an air strike northwest of Baghdad. At the White House, George W. Bush declared the news "a victory in the global war on terror."

Assuming that Zarqawi is really dead -- and we could wallpaper a small house with news reports of major al-Qaida leaders who turned out not to be -- the U.S. special forces who pulled off the attack deserve whatever praise they're going to get. But at the risk of raining on anyone's parade, it's fair to make one observation here:

The Bush administration didn't need to go to war to take out Zarqawi.

In fact, there's evidence that the war actually helped keep Zarqawi alive longer -- and certainly presented him with more easily accessible targets -- than would have been the case if the United States had not invaded Iraq. As NBC News reported back in 2004, U.S. military planners drew up plans to take out Zarqawi three times in 2002 and 2003, but the Bush administration killed the plans each time. Why? Because, military officials told NBC, the Bush administration feared that destroying Zarqawi's terrorist camp in Iraq "could undercut its case for war against Saddam."

6. Yes, Zarquawi didn't make the war, the war made Zarquawi.

14. Zarqawi was a murdering Jordanian terrorist long before Iraq.
he bombed several Jordanian targets, and was tried and convicted in absentia in Jordan.

4. It Depends On The Level Of The Response, Sir
To take one example in this particular business.

It is a matter of public record that this man's importance was exaggerated as a deliberate propaganda ploy. He was made the personification of a movement much wider than he, and in which his existance had very little real import. His death wilol accordingly have little real effect, if in fact he is dead.

Going beyond this, to claim he was a creation and an agent of U.S. intelligence, and that every operation attributed to him was in fact carried out by the U.S. through various agencies, is simply nonesense.

5. I certainly never suggested those things.
But maybe someone here did.

I just don't automatically believe everything I hear, and I'm sure you don't either.

Especially with this crew.

9. It Was Not My Intention To Suggest You did, Sir
And you have my apology if my expression was so imprecise as to give that impression. My comments were merely to illustrate in general terms a distinction, involving items that have certainly been posted here on this matter in the past.

10. Source
Just consider the source. If it's from the WH, it's another on the long list of lies to add to. This guy's probably been dead for awhile. They need to roll this out now as another "victory" in the war on a concept(terra!)re: distraction. They'll wait until the very last to roll out Bin Laden. Dead or alive, they need their boogeymen to keep that fear card worthy.

15. Welcome, and hang around for a while.
Before you get into a switch, get a feel for what's going on here. Certain kinds of things will get your posts deleted (or get you tombstoned), and you can learn about these from the Rules, but it's as much of an art as a science. This is NOT an anything-goes site, but I believe you'll find a wide range of good people who care deeply about democracy and fairness.

17. Get a grip
They have been trying to kill this minor-league thug for years now.

Give the Zarqawi's men some credit. They have been able to evade the U.S. armed forces for years. They know the terrain better and have many supporters in the local population. But nobody is perfect. The military finally caught up to him.

It's not a conspiracy, its the end of a long attempt to get a man who Shrub has built up into far too much while ignoring bin Laden.

18. See post by KPete, Zarqawi was no longer leader.
He was fired two weeks before the report in this link was posted.
