Hillary gets support from big names in state's Upper Valley
On the list are the former Vermont Governor/award winning poet/former US Ambassador to Switzerland Madeleine Kunin and her newly wedded husband John Hennessey, the former dean of the Dartmouth College Tuck School of Business.
Also endorsing are Mary Chambers, the former House Democratic Leader, Ralph Hough, the former Republican Senate President, state Representative Bernie Benn, and former state representatives Marion Copenhaver and Hilda Sokol.

New York's UFCW Local 1500 Endorses Clinton The Clinton Campaign today announced the endorsement of New York's United Food and Commercial Workers Local 1500.
"No one has been a greater friend of the working men and women of New York than Senator Clinton," said UFCW Local 1500 President Bruce Both. "Time and again she has supported our efforts to organize and improve wages, benefits and working conditions. She has fought for us as a Senator, and we know she would continue her advocacy for working families as President of the United States."
UFCW 1500 represents more than 22,000 members working in the grocery industry across the metropolitan New York area, and is the largest grocery workers union in the state.

State Senate Minority Leader Mark Schauer & three other senators announced on Monday their backing of U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton. Without question, I feel that Hillary Clinton is the most ready to become president and is best capable of cleaning up the mess that President Bush has created," said Schauer, D-Battle Creek.
Sens. Robert Jones of Kalamazoo, Liz Brater of Ann Arbor and Gilda Jacobs of Huntington Woods joined Schauer in endorsing Clinton, of New York.
Schauer said Clinton is "battle tested," which will be important in a general election against any Republican nominee.
"I expect the Republicans will swift-boat any Democratic candidate," Schauer said, using Swift Boat as a verb in reference to the Vietnam veterans group that attacked Democratic nominee John Kerry's credibility in 2004.

The Clinton Campaign announced the endorsements of Congressmen Henry Cuellar and Ruben Hinojosa and more than 50 Texas officials and community leaders.
