Fresh Hot Live Tuesday Night Post!
Edited on Tue Jul-19-05 11:06 PM by Muffstser
Well, while we wait to see if the midnight EST "Countdown" show is new or not (FINALLY!!! We West Coasters might catch a break), here are some deep thoughts:

First off, BerryBush: your live show start-off posts are a hoot. Do you do any kind of professional writing? You should!

Second: hysterical first half hour. I haven't heard the big guy laugh that much in a LONG time! Loved the Supreme Court discount. What's so sad is how much truth there is to that.

Next: Well, ladies...wave bye bye to Roe v. Wade. If this guy gets through, we're doomed.

Karl Rove Puppet Theatre: not as funny as I thought it would be, but still darn good. This has potential.

And why is it that these scandal folks always have weird names! Did I actually hear correctly, that Cheney's advisor is named SKOOTER!!!! Yeeks, it's scary that someone in power has that kind of name. Next thing ya know, Shrub will be taking advice from someone named Buzz or Doogie.

Lastly: just caught last night's "Daily Show" rerun. Jon Stewart was hilarious, and their explanation of how the leak happened (with Samantha) has perfect, and all too true.

IT'S QUASI LIVE! I think they re-taped the first part, and are re-running the rest. Heck, I'll take it...

5. I went to school with a guy like that...
well, so did everyone, I suppose. But during class, at lunch, whatever, he'd have a running commentary about everything of interest. Craig is the guy you look for at college reunions. :)

22. How old is Sheridan?
He's so beautiful! I'd love to have a golden retriever. Since I'm doing the apartment thing, I'm resigned to having a demented Calico cat that thinks she's a dog. She follows me from room to room, runs to the door to greet me, rolls on her back, gets into ev-ree-thing, but still has the cat attitude thing going.

Can you tell I worship the ground the big furball walks on?

28. Sheridan will be 10 yrs old in Dec
He's my baby and I love him to death. I live in an apt now. My ex and I divorced in 2000 and he kept Fritzie and I took Sheridan.

7. Just showed tomorrow's promo...
"The best of the Supreme Court nominee battles." Did like the paper toss for the blog, but the stinker needs to write a new entry!

Looks like for now the hidden law to bust Karl Rove is going by the wayside. I tell ya, Shrub did this on purpose to deflect the heat.

11. True, he did,
but remember, the news mags have already had KKKarl on the covers, and it all really comes down to what Fitzgerald has. It's in the hands of lawyers, but yes, it would be nice for a few more immediate news cycles.

Hi, Muffster! :hi:

I wonder if Keith pre-taped the intro and endings for tonight's re-Countdown.

21. I think you're right.
I'll watch it through anyway..."Queer Eye" is on right afterwards. (QE will be hard to top...last week, they made over a nudist! Most hysterical thing I've ever seen, and reinforced the point: people who go naked, usually shouldn't. Ever.)

29. That's EXACTLY what he did.
None of it was live, but the opening 15 minutes or so and the closing were freshly recorded. I figured if they were going to rework the beginning, they'd have to rework the ending, even if everything in the middle was a pickup of the earlier show.

I was too tired to get back on the computer last night, so I just watched and taped the new parts.

And Muff, I am a professional writer. Thanks.

25. Flip Flops at the White House!
"Bring us some frothy drinks, pool boy!" Oh, Mo Rocca. When he's on, he's on. What's so sad is that pool boy is the only job Shrub really is qualified for...and that's a stretch.

26. What IS it with celebrities and nannies?
Okay, there's Jude Law now. But remember, Robin Williams had a fling with his kid's nanny, and ended up marrying her? And didn't David Beckham have a fling with his kid's nanny?

I need a career change.
