Okay, Hill, so you agreed that MI wouldn't count & waited until everyone else took their names off the ballot before whining that they should count MI. hypocrite.

179. I just can't manage to dislike Hillary Clinton. She's not my choice, but she is my senator.
Maybe it's because of Bill, who I still think is terrific. He came to my little burg just before the 2006 midterms to campaign for the Democratic congressional candidate who managed to unseat the incumbent Republican who the local paper said "could have the job for life," if he wanted it... Anyway, I got to see him and hear him speak and it's no exaggeration that he's got incredible charisma. It was SRO and I live in a very red district...:-)

187. I'm really trying not to hate her
and if somehow she pulls this off, I will vote for her, but I doubt that I'll work my tail off for her like I will for Obama. I still like Bill, but not with the passion I did before. I've seen him in person a number of times, and during the mid-terms I was at the front of the crowd twice and got to talk to him for a second -- I gave him a birthday card when I saw him on his 60th birthday (the secret service people weren't very happy about it, but he took it from me and put it in his inside coat pocket). It really is amazing to hear him speak in person.

195. I'm disappointed with her, and she's my last choice, but I'll support her if she runs.
But my reasons are more political, since she's way too conservative for me, despite what the MSM says. *sigh* But I agree that she's stepped over the line. My choice, obviously, was Dennis, but I was really sure that John Edwards deserved the nomination and was totally bummed out when he dropped out...;(

And that is totally cool that you got to meet The Big Dog! He really is incredibly impressive in person! My SO went up to the front to take pix and got to shake his hand. He said that he was never going to wash it...:D

199. My first choice was, and still is, Gore
But that's a lost dream. I had a multitude of second choices -- none of them being Obama or Clinton. I went from Richardson to Dodd to Biden and then finally to Edwards. I wound up with Obama by default when they were all out of the race.

205. Me, too. I like Obama, but he just doesn't speak to me like the others do.
I was hoping for Gore, as well. But, as I said yesterday, he's doing so well that he hardly needs the aggravation. I used to belong to the Al Gore group here on DU, but it's been a long time. Wonder if it's still functioning...:-(

I would have been happy with Richardson or Dodd and my SO's first choice was Biden. He's become a big Obama supporter, which is fine with me, and I guess he's my first choice now, same as you... But I still miss John Edwards. I thought that he had everything and agreed with Bill Maher that he was the most "electable" candidate.

48. The dynamics of PA seem to lean for Hillary
oldest average age in the country

large rural areas

strong political machine behind her

but to discount the really big size of the cross over &
"funny vote" in OH and cross over vote in TX would
be risky.

I "think" team Hillary is working the race card to split
the party to win PA .... lots of rural UMW, hunters, blue
collar, and labor voters there .... But in Wisconsin that
had much the same demographics and a closed primary
(Wisconsin is more educated though) Hillary got thumped.

My hope is enough super delegates cross to Obama before
PA to make her see the light.

BTW how is your mom?

complete with same-day registration.

BTW - the counties that went for Hil were the rural ones with a strong fundy religious preference.... and she won all eight of them.

218. He says that as someone
not devoted to destroying it (just like the terrorists!), but as someone who has lived it and built it and advocated for it to be better.

Hell, I've cursed my own self out on occasion. I've even used profanity to rebuke myself, and to describe how I feel I've carried out different actions.

That doesn't mean I'm against me. It's a conversation that happens, and that democracy was created to allow. Freedom of thought, and freedom of speech.

But that's too fine a distinction for electoral politics.

Hardly the evil that everyone's trying to make it out to be.
Sermons, like the Bible, aren't meant to be read like a list of separate ingredients. You need the full thing to understand what's being said.

Of course, I know you know that. I guess I'm preaching to the choir. :)

It was in the 2000 primary. I was a registered Republican, at the time, even though I mostly voted for Democrats, but in the primary it was a choice between him or Bush*. And I liked McCain, too, back then. My friend's father, who was very active in Democratic politics locally, said that he wouldn't mind voting for him, either. But that was then. I voted for Al Gore in the general, obviously. I never paid much attention to politics until after 9/11. That's what woke me up, so I've tried to make up for lost time...

But I'm not a big fan of gorgonzola, which came in second. My friend (the KO sports fan, LOL) got the mushroom and gorgonzola pizza at Pizza Uno and I tried it. I think that she preferred mine, too...:-(
