8. Hi!
I'm so happy it didn't rain this year. Last year it was pouring and all the lions had plastic bags on their heads. I got some great closeups, but they looked like they'd left the hairdressers with their curlers still in! Funny but slightly disappointing.

btw, these are lions. Dragons are long and carried on poles by many people whereas lions are 2-person costumes. There weren't any big dragons in this year's parade or I'd post a picture for you. They're very impressive.

2. Oh! Love the first and last ones best.
The banner ".......Festival-Celebration-Fair" cracks me up.
Had I been hired to do this banner I would have either talked to them about redundancy, or asked them to add "Street Scene" to the lineup.

3. I noticed that too.
They needed to add Jubilee, Carnival, Fete and Feast to the banner for maximum impact!

Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival Jubilee Carnival Fete Festival Celebration Fair and Feast!

Come on down!

4. You forgot "Extravaganza"
Gotta say that looking at the dragons, maybe all these redundant superlatives are actually descriptive.........

Good work, Tin!

7. Lions
Minor note - they're lions.

Tin really captured the spirit and beauty of the spring festival gala celebration fair extravaganza. (Okay, I added yet another redundant superlative...)

11. The lion dancers always make me smile.
It was a small parade this year, so they were eager to show off their best moves and pose for the cameras.

9. They've got their bases covered
Maybe you could also point out that google translate isn't always the best option.

10. Only if I get to enter next time
It drove me nuts to see red everywhere and not be able to enter the contest.
