Santa Fe Weekend Trip #3
Some shots around town

Cool wind spinners beside an old church
(edited for different exposures...the light is so bright in Santa Fe, it's hard to get the pics just right. Of course, my camera is just a small simple digital...:::sigh::: I so want a new camera....)

At the Jackalope (a huge indoor/outdoor pottery place)

1. This is the best of your Santa Fe threads, imo.
I particularly like the second photo (I'd like to live there for a week), and the last photo. The Last photo could be used to write a story--isthe woman waiting for someone? Is she daydreaming? What's up with pots and the stagecoach with the funky windows? (I understand the pots are probably from the pottery place, but I'm thinking about incorporating them into a fictional story. :) )

I also like the "all pots" photo, but it's showing up HUGH!1!! on my screen.

2. I like the last two also.
I love Sante Fe. I wanted to live there, and almost moved there in the 80's. Your pics touched that spot.
The "All Pots" shot is very good.

Who is in the last shot?

3. Oops! Here's a reduced pic of the pots...

(I redid the photo and cropped out the price tags :) )

And THANKS! for your input! But, please, tell me....what in your opinion makes these the best of the Santa Fe postings?

The woman in the one photo you asked about is one one of my friends that met up with me and my other friend from Oklahoma for our 4-day Santa Fe weekend.

5. The photos appeal to me for a variety of reasons.
I think I like the second photo because of the comparative lushness of the ivy covering the wall in the dry desert. I like the pot photo because they have a rich color and it's a pattern of similar shapes. I'm not sure why the photo of your friend appeals to me so. It has something to do with the evenness of the light, the stagecoach with those weird windows, and your friend's expression, or the combination of the three. :)
