2. Yeah, I'm finally near the end of my book pile from last christmas/birthday
and then it's off to slog through the WOT before hitting the last book.

4. Look forward to???
Wasn't this supposed to be the final book? Haven't gotten it yet - finishing up Tad Williams' "Shadowplay" then diving back into the WOT.

5. Its part one of three.
The outline for the last book was running like 2,000 pages long! :wow: So its being broken up into a set of three.

9. I just finished it.
I agree, it really moved forward! There was some really great payoffs in this volume, and enough foreshadowing of what's coming that makes it hard to wait...

7. i'm just about to dive into it
I've brushed up on the timeline and plot through the WOT wiki, but am re-reading Knife of Dreams before I go into this book. The other books I've re-read multiple times, essentially starting the series over every time a new volume came out, but I just don't have the time right now.

8. So, I'm about an inch into it
and so far, I'm pretty happy with Sanderson's job. I can't tell what is his writing and what is Jordan's, and there's no break in the depictions of the characters.
