The Stars This Week: "Change is in the Air" - Jan. 22 - Jan. 28, 2007
Change is in the Air

01/22/06 - 01/28/06 (sic)

Earlier this month, Mars connected to the Saturn-Pluto trine, which will be exact later this year. This week, relationship-oriented Venus talks to these two powerful players, opposing Saturn on January 22 and sextiling Pluto on January 26. But the major planetary news this week is freedom-oriented planets Jupiter and Uranus forming a square on January 22. Then, rounding out the week, lovely Venus enters gentle Pisces on January 26.

January 22: Venus opposite Saturn

Opposition aspects give us the chance to stand back and get a good look at what's going on. With the relationship planet, Venus, in the friendship sign, Aquarius, connecting with the reality planet, Saturn, it's time to examine your important relationships. Do you feel appreciated by others? Is there a spirit of friendship and equality? Facing limitations -- both yours and others -- helps you to make realistic choices and establish healthy boundaries.

January 22: Jupiter square Uranus

Change is in the air as Jupiter, the planet of beliefs and worldview, squares independent Uranus. You may feel restless and decide to make radical changes in your life. Jupiter's placement in Sagittarius brings enthusiasm and optimism along with the urge to ramble and roam. Independent Uranus in Pisces has similar themes, but leans toward exploring the spiritual and emotional realms. Your world and your beliefs are shifting, making it important for you to be open to new circumstances.

January 26: Venus sextile Pluto

This lovely aspect of Venus sextile Pluto brings opportunities to deepen your connections with others. There is nothing superficial about Pluto, whose tendency is to express everything passionately, while the planet of love, Venus, is all about relating. Together, these two manifest the healing power of love, so this is a great time to express your affection. Pick up the phone, write a poem or plan a quiet evening out with someone near and dear to you.

January 27: Venus enters Pisces

A timely coordinated effort may be required but we sure will be askin' for it.

I think it was on the "Delete" thread she funnily already threatened to do so.

It's just great fun to make her laugh. That's my diabolical agenda and I'm totally stickin' to it.

13. I hear trouble is brewing on the astro forum once again.
Venus in Pisces huh? gonna make me feel the love?
You know I hate that :)

Alas I don't have the time right now to fight back...
have to run to work, etc. But will give me time to alert the mods, and to find out about Skinner's new nuclear option everyone keeps talking about. :)

Really Stella you should remind everyone about
my Mars (power, will)
in Scorpio (deadly)
in the 3h (communications)
quincux to Jupiter (big time power)
in Aries (more fire)
in the 8h. (more deadly)

All part of a yod to my Asc which is Virgo (which makes it all very efficient).

It is like I have a nuke to use that I am good at, but in this life God tripled the power of it, and told me I had to learn to use that increased fire power.

Kind of like giving a three yr old a nuclear weapon. Just stand back everyone, hopefully no one will get hurt :)

And PS those deleted posts don't fool me.... I can only imagine what you said! Grrrrrrrrrrr :)

17. Well, since I know little to nothing about astrology
I'm going to have to guess and say yes. Jupiter is a happy dude and Aries is a pretty intense leader type and the 8th house well, it's interests lie in the mysterious parts of life and death and taxes? So yes I'd say a big yes now that I've thought about it. :D

Fyi, she can't fool me anyway. I see through that "bluster" just like the rest of you guys! Pile the love on her and let venus do it's thing.

You know Stella, with my n. Mars/ Jup getting a super kick with a t.jup trine, my manifestation powers are going to be quite interesting. I am looking forward to flexing my muscles just a tad.

How would you like to be turned back into a cloud, Stella?

And I don't mean a lovely wispy white cloud, with angels and gossamer wings, harps and halos.

The worst, most absolute terrible thing I could do to you guys. So bad that even thinking about it probably puts me on the karmic bad list for the next couple of lives. :(

So bad it must have its own post.

31. IHAD is laying low. Smart girl :)
OB, my dear, I hate to have to turn you into a creeper freeper to show you how bad I am :(....

Are you sure you want to chance it?

Think about it. Being turned into one of those horrid little men on the freeper forums who have nothing better to do with their lives but denigrate those of us on the astro forum.

They derive great pleasure from humiliating people who only want to do good, who pray and are of service to others. OK, maybe talking to dead people and arguing about what a stellium is, can be seen as a tad way out. But the creeper creepers actually spend their lives in self righteous anger about such things.

And derive such joy from attacking others. They think they are smart and everyone else is stupid. Putting us down pumps up their shallow and weak self esteem.

And of course you know why they do it. They are sad and pathetic little shells of men, who have no sex life or girlfriends due to their ineptness with women. They spend their lives attacking and hating all women. The keyboard is a substitute for what they can't do in the bedroom. And of course they are cowards. They don't even have the courage to attack us directly. Too afraid probably. Perpetual babies.

Such pathetic, weak, sad little creatures. I feel only pity for them.

Certainly you don't want to be turned into one of these little creatures OB? Since I like you, maybe I turn you into a slimy snake instead? Would be a real step up from the freeper creatures.

If conscious, intelligent, and sensitive people were to enter those communities it might just revolutionize the country. Who knows?

I'd no clue that they comment on our discussions. I can only imagine and really don't care and don't have a lot of use for those who judge those of us who contemplate alternative spiritualities whilst clinging to tenets of 2000 year old fiction. The demonization of women and sexuality and worship of human sacrifice ain't about love anyhoo.

I put a rant up about evangelicals in relation to Pluto's transit through Sagittarius down thread on my prayer thread in GD last week that a lot of people missed. Hold on, I'll go fetch it. . .

"A couple of things I neglected to reference:

The whole thing that inspired this effort for this lunation was the reminder that Pluto has been in Sagittarius since '94. Thanks to mikey for that (http://www.michaellutin.com )

The gradual though striking emergence of extreme fundamentalism from all factions since then has been brutally and mind numbingly blinding. Saggitarius has to do in part with various dogmas and philosophies. His theory is (paraphrasing) that the reason it's gotten so extreme and violent is because the fundamentalists are harboring a (probably unconscious) degree of disbelief at the core of their faith, so they're fighting their deep seated inner doubt and compelled to defend their presumed supremacy.

It's peculiar in that, in the 80's so many of us regarded the Robertson, Falwell, and Bakers and their ilk as some bizarro circus side show. I'll never forget hanging out in a hotel room on a Sunday morning back then, waiting for a rerun of "Rocky & Bullwinkle" (priorities, priorities) to come on the tube and having to endure the tail end of R Shuller's sermon. He said, "I am a personal friend of Christ's. If you'd like to be a personal friend of Christ's you have to go through me. . .I need a million dollars a week just to survive." I was flumoxed but then again, it's the oldest trick in the book. "You want to go to heaven? Gimmee 50 bucks."

If one ascribes to Christian doctrine, he is alleged to have "died for OUR sins." There was no caveat that his sacrifice was exclusively only for those who converted. Duhhh

Basic unconditional human kindness as reflected so eloquently in the beatitudes sure beats Ned Flander's classic suggestion that Maude had gone to Bible camp "to learn to be more judgemental."

I've always thought that it would be great to learn a joke in every language to bring forth world peace. But then, based on the speculative astrophysical premise that the primary chemical componant at the center of the galaxy is NO2 (aka laughing gas), I've far more faith in great humor than in presumed piety.

A year ago I finally figured out the riddle posed in the song "What's So Funny About Peace, Love, & Understanding?"

The only plausible answer to that query is EVERYTHING.

Let's consider making it so ASAP.

Peace on. "

Oh and BTW. . .IHAD is afk till tomorrow or so. Methinks she'll be back with a vengence soon.

39. Yes it is true dear Stella
Creepy Crawly Freepers who have nothing better to do than
bash sweet dear harmless women who look at stars, pray and do good.

The reason Stella, is that the freeps are jealous of Dems.

Dem politicians are handsome, intelligent, charismatic, wise and courageous. And have gorgeous wives and/or highly intelligent ones. And the admiration of many women.

The freeps can only dream of such things given that their egos are bigger than their wonkers, and their brains and souls the size of a bumble bee.

So alas the freeps have to sit at their keyboards in orgasmic spasms bashing out hatred and venom against Dem women. It is the closest they will ever get to any of us except in their dreams.

Poor freeps. Lusting after Dem women. Tsk Tsk.

My life here - personally and professionally - has stagnated. Time to give 'er a nudge.

Stay tuned. O8)

34. I DO love Madison!
What a GREAT town!

Are you more of a "townie" type person or are you one of the "rural" types like me? If you are a "rural" type like me, you might want to check out places like Black Earth and Mt Horeb. From what I recall there are some amazing collectives there in that area that would be driving distance into Madison. THAT always sounded ideal to me...

Sorry to hear it isn't going well there in the Indy area for you, dear. I hope you find what you seek and soon!

37. Thanks Laura ...
My sister used to live in Fitchburg, so I've been online scouting apartments in that area - Verona, Fitchburg, etc ... but now today I get a call from a headhunter here in Indy with a prospect that would mean a new opportunity, a 'perspective adjustment' (downtown vs. up in the Carmel burbs), and a whole lot more money.

 I'm so confused now.

55. Really?
You are confused?

GTF out of Indiana as soon as possible and start fresh someplace else

It's still Indy, but the rest of it fits, right? Would it entail a move of residence?
Different neighborhood? Seems pretty close to me. But whadaiknow?
;)

... and of course just when I set my mind to leaving the area, I get a call from a headhunter about a job opening in downtown Indy that would mean a $7k/yr RAISE.

So now what? To quote The Clash - "Should I Stay or Should I Go" ?

58. oh hippiechick
I just checked it out. You've a boat load going on in terms of both transits and progressions. I've a page full of notes.

Though you'll always be a natal Leo, your progressed Sun is at 29 degrees 55 minutes of Virgo. So much of the pressure will be alleviated within a month when it moves into Libra.

The last degree of any sign is a degree of intensity. When one has personal planets or luminaries passing over these points there is more than a little pressure.

Saturn is transiting both your Natal Sun and progressed Mars for the 2nd and 3rd time over the next several months. The first pass was in September, the 2nd pass will be in the end of February, and the end of April through mid May, and during the second week of June.

A triple pass of Saturn can be rather weighty. The first pass harkens of things that are not working. The second pass reveals the changes one needs to implement and the third pass generally allows us to make those changes to create a reality one feels more deeply committed to.

Look I generally don't type readings and there is a whole lot of data here. So I'll PM you but in essense, the heaviness you are feeling is transitory and you'll feel a lot lighter within the month and will be able to align yourself with a more resonant lifestyle very very soon.

Phew.

... apparently The Universe wanted to lend you a hand ...

I had this dream early this morning:

"I had just moved into my new McHouse, out in a cute little sanitary ‘burb.
Heard this horrible mechanical noise and went to see what it was: my car was being towed, OUT OF
MY OWN DRIVEWAY!

I ran out, stopped the tow truck driver and asked WTF? – of course he was only following orders
– someone had called in that the car was a nuisance. Apparently it ‘was always parked in the same
place’ (Yeah, my DRIVEWAY!) and ‘the roof was too high per the neighborhood association covenants’.

I paid him the fee and got a receipt, and went back into the house.
Then, the next morning I went out to leave for work and the CAR WAS GONE.

I found the receipt from the day prior and called the tow-place and yepper, the same person had complained again so they came back and got my car overnight.

Called my friend Jen – who is an attorney – and she came over. She called the tow place and they gave her the phone number of the person who was filing the complaints about my car.

She was on the phone with him/her: they were clearly just doing this to be a jackass, pulling bizarre gripes out of their butt to make me miserable. I kept sliding her notes like “the reason it looks like its always in the same place is because I go to work, and come home, and that’s it!” and “It’s a BRAND NEW car, not a junker!” etc … She continued to discuss and then suddenly got this look on her face, said ‘I have to go’ and hung up.

After she left, I was outside on the driveway (looking up at the sky, the big dipper was directly overhead – blurry - but off to my left I could clearly see 2 shooting stars) and the phone rang, it was the “complainer” calling back. He asked for her, then asked if I was the owner of the car, and then mentioned something about having met. His voice sounded familiar and I had a ‘flashback’ of sorts where I matched the voice and a sentence he had spoken during the conversation, with something I’d heard previously in another conversation, and it all fell into place. It was Mark - the 'almost relationship' I'd had terrible drama with this past September.

So what’s the dream’s message?
Is ‘my car being towed’ a hint that I need to "leave" (by force if necessary?)
or is ‘my car being towed’ a sign that he’s (metaphorically?) stopping me from doing what I have to do (hijacking my means of transportation?)

:hide:

60. Shoot
I just lost the lengthy response I typed to you.

Okay, wickfordbard (our most talented dream analyst IMHO) is flying across the country today so I'll try my best.

Cars are normally represented mostly by Mars and secondarily by Mercury.

As I mentioned up thread, Saturn is rocking back and forth over your natal Sun and your progressed Mars. The first pass (September) is always heavier than the 2nd and 3rd. That transit to one's progressed Mars helps one redefine precisely what one wants to commit their energy to for the next 28-9 years. There is a sense of "this ain't working" that often accompanies Saturn/Mars activity. Through it's duration, one determines precisely what DOES work though.

Saturn transiting one's Sun has to do with redefining one's identidy. Saturn is the archetypal authority figure and regardless of how old a person is it can feel as though the universe is saying "young lady. . .this is what you ar NOT." So one eliminates false images of oneself but the good news is, one's core essence becomes strengthened through the release of extraneous masks that can shroud and distort that pure essence. So overtime it's wonderfully affirming. But with the triple pass, it can be an at time, grueling process of elimination until one arrives at the I AM revelation/epiphany.

The metaphor I often use for Saturn/Mars is. . .it can feel as though one has to go carve Mt. Rushmore equipped only with a plastic butter knife. One is often overwhelmed by the enormity of the task because it feels duntingly impossible. Again it's a process of eliminating that which is no longer rewarding or fulfilling so by the third pass, one learns not to piss their energy away on energy depleting efforts.

Now in light of all of that, your car was where it belonged but you became disconnecteed with it at least temporarily. It was taken because others presumed you weren't going anywhere (projection alert) A lawyer (Saturnine profession) tried to help but was unreliable, then you were hanted by the voice of your phantom beau.

So given that your drama with him transpired during the first pass of Saturn, you must have felt as though your will and desire was somehow impeded by the interaction with him, and it resulted in a sense of immobility.

Somehow you might was to attempt to reclaim the projections you cast upon him. I know, I know. . .easier said than done.

Just understand that this process is gradual and try to be gentle with yourself right now.

Dunno if you've seen this "trick" before but it very well may help you expedite your reclamation of self . . .

"17. OMG, I just remembered yet another wondrous trick, this one is from a
lady visionary activist who is most inspiring.
Whenever a dynamic with another breaks down and reaches an impasse, sit
down and write them a letter, and don't hold back anything you feel.
Then read the letter aloud, then burn it. As ever, be cautious with
fire. I employ the use of pliers and a cast iron skillet when I do
this. Then release the ashes into moving water. It's nice to do in
nature, but a sink or toilet will do just as well. This is how one
sends another a spiritual fax. It is great magic as it moves the
restrictions in the dynamic through all of the four elements and
purifies the emotions and sends a great healing to both you and the
higher self of the person with whom one is hassled. It works amazingly well."

63. re: the 'trick' ...
I did that during his and my "impasse" in early Sept. and within 36 hours, he called me and it morphed into a full-fledged nuclear disaster, compelete with name-calling and 4-letter words.

At Christmas, I actually mailed him a letter that I wrote over the course of several weeks, taking time to explain - carefully, in detail and with examples - why his behavior during our 'relationship' was unacceptable. I closed by stating that the letter was sent with all good intentions, and wished him the best in the New Year. No response.

So I pretty much consider that chapter closed. At least, my conscious brain does. :tinfoilhat:

Anyway, since I've been considering a relocation, this morning's dream sort of struck a chord that committing to a house & job here would leave me "stuck" and "unable to get where I need to go" (my means of 'transportation' is taken from me and I cannot get to where my "work" is)...

OR that it could mean that there is a force beyond my control that is trying to move me, by any means necessary (towing my car for no apparent good reason) but that I'm resisting it because I "go to work and come home and that's it" and can't see how my present existence "offends" the Universe.

 Does that make any kind of sense?

As always, thanks so much for your input. O8)
You're awesome!!

64. Of course it makes sense
I addressed most of this stuff privately with hippiechick but just so you guys know and as a PSA. , ,

Sometimes burning letters exacerbates latent potentials. Some situations require more than one letter to rectify.

Thank goodness hippiechick saw his true colors then instead of ten years later with eleven kids, living in a shoe. :)

so I can say, my roommate, Pisces/Virgo/Virgo, with Venus in his 8th House, and Mercury in Pisces in the 7th House, brought me flowers on the 25th. hmm baby steps.
