Cooking Instructions Cream butter and add sugar gradually. Beat the mixture until it is light and creamy. Beat the yolks one at a time and add Jim Beam® Bourbon and lemon extract. Resift the flour with the baking powder. Add the sifted ingredients alternately with the milk in four additions. Beat the batter smooth after each addition. Pour into greased and floured pans and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes until done.

Here's what happened: between all the eggs and 4 - 4! - tablespoons of baking powder, it started cooking almost while I was greasing the pans! During cooking - before it got to 30 minutes - the centers fell.
1. Four tablespoons of baking powder has to be a misprint.
:wow: The only thing I can think of is: If the rest of the cake is ok, then cut the centers out, ice the cake and fill the center with fruit, pudding or some other filling.
