Paralyzed Buffalo Bills guy gets new treatment, doctor says will walk out of hospital!
Edited on Tue Sep-11-07 05:54 PM by BlooInBloo
Just heard it on ESPN - they had a telephone interview with a doctor at the hospital.

The new treatment was some kind of "controlled hypothermia", they lowered the temperature of the affected bits to 92 degrees with saline water, I guess as a swelling-preventative or something.

He has some motion in both arms and legs, and the doctor said flat-out that he expects the guy to walk out of the hospital - maybe in weeks or months, but walking nevertheless.

Wow!

1. Excellent news. It sounds promising, which is awesome,

Come on Kevin! :)

3. The presser I saw
Had the doc saying 'i think there is a good chance he will walk out, not of this hospital, but he will walk.' obviously, he will move to a rehab center for the long struggle ahead once he is recovered from surgery.
