This book is written by two professors at U Calgary. It's a good read and for those interested in the military cooperation between the two countries during the war, a lot of the groundwork is described here in detail. Negotiations with Marshall, Dill, etc.
This book could have been more fun than it is by including more of the personal element: Churchill and Eleanor Roosevelt's early morning confrontation when she wouldn't let him wake the sleeping FDR, the large argument over lighting the Christmas tree on the ellipse for fear it would guide German bombers. ER, pointing to the Washington Monument, "Like THAT isn't going to give them a clue."
But it's still a VERY interesting read.
