Doyle kills travel contract (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel)

Governor Jim Doyle canceled the Adelman Travel contract Monday.

Last week state employee Georgia Thompson was indicted on federal charges of manipulating Adelman Travel's scores in bid evaluation.

Doyle also announced that his campaign would not return $20,000 in donations from Adelman Travel founder Craig Adelman and board member Mitch Fromstein.

Doyle will sign an executive order barring political appointees from participating in state business contracts.
